What Does Our Destiny Hold?

What will be the voyage of humankind into the next century and beyond? What does our destiny hold? In some ways, we are the most technologically advanced society in the history of humankind. Our world is changing as a result of the age of information and communication. This, coupled with high-speed transportation systems, has resulted in a shrinking global village. We are now at a crossroads in the history of human civilization. The path that we follow into the future is surely ours to choose. But what are the choices? Do we continue to make decisions about our relationships with one another and Mother Earth that lack consciousness? Do we continue to consume the Earth’s resources at an unsustainable level? Or do we walk down another path, a path where we begin to understand the deep and profound meaning of life and how we fit into the universal tapestry?

If we choose to do this, we can live in harmony with all life on the planet and with the Earth herself. This path leads to a vital, sustainable civilization. In it, we nurture and support the sanctity and sacredness of all of life.

When we continue on the path of consciousness, our planet will be vital. There will be global peace through the gift of spirituality and inner peace. We will then be successful in creating work places, communities and a planet where there is love, respect and peace for all.

Maintaining harmony, balance and health

I do not believe in feeling guilty or acting from a place of fear in changing our present relationship with the Earth. When we do so, we create more of the same.  We act instead from a place of Spirit.   Indigenous people have traditionally regarded the human role of maintaining existing harmony, balance and health of the natural world as a solemn spiritual duty. When we act from a place of Spirit, from whence comes infinite love and creativity, we will naturally develop a healthy relationship with others and with Mother Earth. When we are in alignment with Spirit and  Mother Earth with the natural cycles, we establish balance and harmony in our lives. Love, respect balance and harmony create peace.

Spiritual Law of Wealth and Abundance

One of the spiritual laws is the law of wealth and abundance. The natural world is wealthy and abundant physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. There are times of scarcity but in the overall scheme of things, nature is abundant. Human beings were also created to live in physical, mental, emotional and spiritual abundance. Simply by appreciating the beauty of the natural world and the love of family and friends we can experience spiritual and physical abundance. There is more than enough land for every person to have a home as long as we do not think we own or possess land. There is more than enough food on Earth, if we would distribute it differently than we do now. There is also more than enough work for everyone on the Earth. Just the clean-up we need to do would provide enough work for millions! Surely we are conscious and creative enough to figure out how to use and distribute renewable resources in a way that is just and equitable.

Our Current Relationship to Each Other and to Mother Earth

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Ellen Hayakawa @ 7:23 pm

At the same time, we do individual acts of violence against one another, and on a larger scale, still wage wars. Just as we violate one another, we also violate Earth. Each and every one of our violations reflects the pollution of our inner psyches. They reflect our lack of connection to our spirits, hearts, emotions and physical bodies. We currently produce more waste than nature’s cycles can metabolize. We bombard our beloved Planet with this waste just as we bombard our brothers and sisters on the Planet using weapons of all kinds. Mother Earth in her abundant and all giving nature continues to support and nurture us in the best way that she can.

Consciousness Maximizes Benefits

We benefit from highly efficient communication systems like internet, telephone, FAX and highly efficient travel systems like air and rail travel. These systems can work both to our benefit and our detriment. Negative impacts are attributable to our lack ofconsciousness. We may lack consciousness in the way we have designed technologies or products or services or in how we choose to use them.  As we become more conscious we will minimize and then eliminate our negative impacts.generations. The people who have been the channels of the manifestation become role models for future generations.

The legacy of work achieved by individual or collective states of the highest consciousness include scientific theories and proofs, art, literature, music, buildings, furniture, gardens, healing techniques and products and services that reflect elegance, beauty and grace. The Egyptian pyramids, the Mayan and Aztec temples, Stonehenge, daVinci’s inventions and art, the temple complex in Nikko, Japan, healing techniques such as acupuncture and massage and the healing power of Mother Mary andmany of the great saints are examples. When we experience them, we never forget them. These works stand the test of time, lauded by successive

The Nature of the Universe

The fundamental nature of Spirit or the universe is expansion and therefore new creation. The cycles of death and destruction are also a part of life, providing material and energy for the new creation. As all beings live according to the spiritual laws, the fundamental nature of humans is also to expand, grow and create. We are always growing and expanding our consciousness. When this is finished and our physical body no longer serves, we die a physical but never a spiritual death. Our energy goes on and is transformed.

Our consciousness is reflected in what we create in our physical world. Look around at your place of work or your home. It is a reflection of your consciousness. If we had the consciousness of Spirit, then we could create universes as well as the beauty of the Earth. Our consciousness, and hence our ability to be creative, is not yet that expansive.

Vision of Work, Vision of Global Peace

This is a vision about all of us at work honouring and celebrating life. I have this vision because of my passion and belief in people and my deep connection to and love of the Earth and work. I envision this because ofmy great awe and reverence for the spiritual, for all that is sacred. I dream the dream of the Universe, the Cosmic, the Divine, the Great Mystery, of Spirit, God, Goddess, Creator, Allah, Brahma, the Source, the One who has been given a thousand names.

Others as well as I are tuning in to their own visions. We are manifesting and living the vision in our place of work. We are thrilled at the challenge, for the task at hand is daunting and not for the faint of heart. But for those who feel called to the task, the work is exciting, fulfilling and rewarding.

I have a vision of global peace in my lifetime. Each one of us is rapidly becoming a living example of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual consciousness and peace. Now we are joining together in the co-creation of inspired organizations that reflect this. Through this book, I invite you to realize your life’s purpose and to tune in to your vision. Bring your sacred vision to reality and join together with others to expand the network and community of Love, Light, Peace and Beauty.

Energy at Work

I have a vision that we consciously acknowledge that we are a part of the cosmic cycle of energy and matter. I dream of passionate people designing and implementing industrial and economic systems emulating natural, biological systems. As in all natural biological systems, all of the waste we produce is consumed by another metabolic process. Hence there is no waste. Products and services are offered that maintain the balance between energy and material production and consumption. Thus we do not pollute the Earth when we use these products and services.

Wisdom and Knowledge at Work

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Ellen Hayakawa @ 9:12 pm

I have a vision that we honour wisdom and knowledge, rather than information at work. The wisdom from all spiritual traditions is engaged when a conflict, social or ethical dilemma arises. Individual and collective wisdom of workers, as well as the wisdom from these spiritual traditions, are applied to the situation. Elders and children are present in the workplace, and the wisdom, truth, counsel and advice of age and youthful innocence are sought.

Embracing Masculine and Feminine Energies at Work

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Ellen Hayakawa @ 5:01 pm

I have a vision that we understand the joy of living in universal, nonlinear

cyclical time. Because of this, there is no rushing around, no frantic

activity, no frustration.

I have a vision that the role and the reality of family life is acknowledged

and honoured in relationship to work. We find evidence of matriarchal

and patriarchal societies in human history. Now we have the opportunity

to bring the best of both to our civilization and honour our androgynous

nature. As a result of our evolving consciousness, we honour the oneness,

diversity and changing roles of men and women and children everywhere,

including the workplace.

In the past, and even today, the focus of women’s feminine energy has

been as relationship and community builders. Men have focused their

masculine energy on physical building and activity. Often, in a so-called

traditional family, day-to-day nurturing and support of the family was

the role of women, while men were the “breadwinners.” Today we recognize

that men and women have both masculine and feminine energies and that

most of us feel at our best when we can express both in balance. Many

men are choosing to share equally in the nurturing role of the family.

Women are choosing to work outside of the family. Let us build together

new forms, structures and foundations embracing and reflecting both

the masculine and feminine energies of men and women.
